• Theory section: we’ll give you access to the SSI online platform so you can study the theory at home, at your own pace. You’ll learn the techniques and skills required to become a Divemaster, and you’ll also complete the Science of Diving course, which will broaden your knowledge of diving.
• Practical component / on which you will be assessed:

During this course, we will prepare you to develop your teaching and demonstration skills in the water to a professional standard.

We will assess you on:

• Your physical condition in the water.
• Taller de demostración en el agua OWD y Diver Stress and Rescue.
• Dive briefing.
• Lead day, night and deep dives.

• Lead dives.
• Assist an Open Water Instructor during the courses.
• Sign up for Ecology Specialty Instructor seminars.
• Sign up for the Open Water Instructor course.

• To be 18 years old.
• Have 60 logged dives.
• Hold an SSI Diver Stress and Rescue certification or equivalent.
• You must hold the relevant certification or have a minimum of five dives of experience in: Deep Diving, Navigation, and Night & Limited Visibility.
• Valid diving insurance.

• A total of 35–40 hours, spread over 5–6 days depending on your availability; the course can be extended to ensure you reach your desired level of confidence. Before starting the course, please ensure you are in good physical condition, review the online material and complete the Science of Diving module, which you will have access to once you have registered.

• Maintain active SSI status.
• Your diving professional insurance (we can advise you on choosing the right policy for you)
