We’ve all felt the cold in the water at some point and know how uncomfortable it is, but there’s a solution: diving in a drysuit. It will transform your dives and allow you to dive all year round. And why not try it in Silfra (Iceland), where visibility exceeds 100 metres, or even under the ice?
Buoyancy is once again proving to be a challenge
A drysuit creates a new air space, which means your buoyancy will change and you’ll need to compensate for the effects of pressure on the suit. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, and you’ll also learn the emergency procedures so you can dive in complete safety with your drysuit. We’ll show you the different types of drysuits available so that when the time comes to buy one, you can choose the one that’s right for you.

Drysuit diving
- All diving equipment hire, including: dive computers, marker buoys and drysuit hire.
- Access to the SSI platform to complete the theory module online.
- 2 dives in the sea.
- Certification costs.
- Theory section: we’ll give you access to the SSI online platform so you can study the theory at home, at your own pace. You’ll learn the techniques and skills required for this course.
- Practical part: two dives in the sea: the first in confined waters and the second in open water. You will learn how to put on and take off your wetsuit, adjust your weighting correctly, maintain a good diving position and perform emergency procedures. These are just some of the skills you will learn on this course.
- To be 12 years old.
- Hold an SSI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent.
- Valid diving insurance
- This course requires two dives; ideally, these should be completed in a single morning, but they can be spread over separate days if that suits you better.
