• Maintain active SSI status.

• To be 18 years old.
• Have 75 logged dives (100 before certification)
• Hold an SSI Divemaster certification or equivalent.
• Hold a Nitrox 40% qualification
• Valid diving insurance.

• Theory section: we’ll give you access to the SSI online platform so you can study the theory at home, at your own pace, and be fully prepared for these two intensive weeks.
• Practical component / on which you will be assessed:

During this course, we will prepare you to develop your teaching and demonstration skills in the water to a professional standard, and ensure you have the confidence you need to start delivering courses at all levels.

We will assess you on:

• Your physical condition in the water
  Academic presentation (based on the Open Water Diver course syllabus)
• OWD demonstration workshop.
• Demonstration of Open Water Diver skills in confined water.
• Academic presentation (on a specialist topic)
• Academic presentation (on the Divemaster syllabus)
• Diver Stress and Rescue Course
  Introduction to confined water (OWD), emergency ascent skills.
• Diver Stress and Rescue course (confined water)
  Open Water Diver course (open water).

• Deliver the TryScuba, Basic Diver, Referral Diver, Indoor Diver, Open Water Diver, Experienced Diver test, ScubaSkills Update and Advanced OWD courses.
• Teach the following specialities: Buoyancy, Diver Stress and Rescue, Nitrox, Science of Diving, DiveGuide/Divemaster (plus Computer Diving, Marine Ecology and SSI Explorers upon completion of the online courses)

This course runs for 70–80 hours, spread over two weeks.
